iPhone X Cracked Screen Repair
iPhone X cracked screens have been somewhat of a challenge for many repair technicians, mainly because the parts are extremely high. The high price is associated with Apple having a OLED display installed on the phone. Instead of using the older LCD Displays that cost less. If you give it time all displays come down in price. But not so fast. Apple is trying to corner the market leaving it's customers unable to go to Apple to fend for themselves.
Most iPhone X cracked Digitizers and LCD's are a real snap to fix if you have the correct tools and years of experience to back up your repair confidence. The above iPhone X was taken to a shop in Kansas City area then brought to me after a failed repair attempt. The issue was the gold surface mount clips that snap the display ribbon cables on the logic board were completely severed or destroyed. I had to clean up the logic board damage with installing new surface mount connectors using a microscope and microsoldering techniques. We do offer microsoldering for most repairs that have been damaged from DIY or other repair technicians that have accidentally damaged logic boards.
We were able to complete this repair and get the iPhone X back up and operating for less than a replacement. However most times when we are required to repair iPhones with board level repairs, we usually have a policy that we will try only for DATA RECOVERY purposes only.
We were happy we were able to get the iPhone X and the customer fixed up fast.
